€600.00 available to Armagh GAA Clubs to promote Irish.

Tá deis á tairiscint d’fhocumainn CLG in Ard Mhacha teacht ar mhaoiniú nua a chuideos leo an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn sa chlub. Comhthionscnamh maoinithe é an Scéim Tacaíochta Gaeilge idir Glór na nGael agus Cumann Lúthchleas Gael. Tá an scéim oscailte anois d’ iarratas do thionscadal a chuireann foghlaim agus úsáid na Gaeilge chun tosaigh i gclubanna CLG.  Tá an babhta seo den Scéim dírithe ar imeachtaí a tharlódh idir 1ú Eanáir agus 30ú Aibreán 2017. Tá ardú ar luach na ndeontas ata ar fáil sa bhabhta seo, suas le €600 ar fáil ach maoiniú meaitseála ar bhonn €1 ón chlub do gach €2 ón Scéim Tacaíochta Gaeilge (€900 san iomlán).

Cuirtear isteach ar an Scéim Tacaíochta Gaeilge ar www.glornangael.ie. Is gá don iarratas a bheith curtha isteach roimh 5:00 i.n. ar Aoine 18ú Samhain 2016. Tá an fhoirm simplí go leor le líonadh amach. D’éirigh le roinnt clubanna ó Chontae Ard Mhacha maoiniú a fháil cheana féin. Fuair Raonaithe na Croise maoiniú ón Scéim Tacaíochta Gaeilge a chuidigh leo dianchúrsa Gaeilge a reáchtáil i mí Mheán an Fhómhair dá gcuid ball. GAA clubs in Armagh have an opportunity to avail of new funding, which will help them promote the Irish language within the club. The Scéim Tacaíochta Gaeilge is a partnership funding scheme set up by Glór na nGael and Cumann Lúthchleas Gael. Applications for projects to promote the learning and use of the Irish language in GAA clubs are now being accepted. This round of funding is for projects to be delivered between 1st January and 30th April 2017. The grant amount available from the Scéim has been raised to €600 on the understanding that clubs will contribute €1 in match funding for every €2 provided by Scéim Tacaíochta Gaeilge (total €900).

Applications can be made online at www.glornangael.ie  Applications should be submitted by 5:00pm on Friday 18 November 2016. The form is straight forward and easy to complete and a number of GAA clubs in Armagh have already been successful in securing funding under the scheme. Crossmaglen Rangers secured funding from the Scéim Tacaíochta Gaeilge, which allowed them to hold an intensive language learning day in September 2016 for their club members.
