ARMAGH 6-22 OFFALY 0-10

Kieran McGeeney’s Senior Footballers produced a superb display to romp home to a 30 point victory against Offaly today in the Athletic Grounds.

6 goals scored from 6 different players along with a wide range of points scorers shows the strength in the forward playing ability of the Orchard men.  It was too hot for Offaly to handle as Armagh rushed into 1-07 lead before the Faithful County registered their first score. Niall Rowland, Rory Grugan, Anto Duffy, Niall Grimley, Stefan Campbell, and Andrew Murnin scored the goals for Armagh.  3-11 scored in the first half, followed by another 3-11 in the 2nd, the team were relentless and were not going to allow their opponents back into this game which has been the theme to the earlier games in the league.

Stefan Campbell 1-04
Niall Grimley 1-03
Rory Grugan 1-03
Andrew Murnin 1-02
Anto Duffy 1-01
Niall Rowland 1-0
Jamie Clarke 0-02
Stephen Sheridan 0-2
Ben Crealey 0-02
Gavin McParland 0-01
Oisin McKeever 0-01
Charlie Vernon 0-01

Next up for Armagh is a crucial top of the table clash away to Louth. Armagh will need to win this game to ensure that promotion remains within our hands with remaining home games v Antrim and Tipperary coming up.
