Parking and Travel Arrangements for June 4th

We want to try and make it an enjoyable experience for all patrons attending Pairc Esler on June 4th and to assist in making that happen some arrangements have been put in place.

Patrons travelling to the game from the East Down Direction should be aware that the Gran Fondo Cycle Event is also taking place on Sunday 4th June and delays can be expected in the Hilltown- Rostrevor Area mid-morning. (Please see Gran Fondo Website for updated information)

Shuttle Bus

In Conjunction with Translink Transport Partner of Ulster GAA there will be a Shuttle Bus Service in Operation as follows:

Bus will leave St Paul’s School Bessbrook via Newry Train Station for Pairc Esler at 11.00am,11.30am,12.00,12.30pm and 1.00pm, Buses will then make the return journey post match

Bus will leave Albert Basin Car Park on a Shuttle Service commencing at 11.00am, there will be no return journeys to Albert Basin.

Bus will leave Burren GAA Grounds for Pairc Esler Stopping at the Square Warrenpoint at 11.00am, 11.30am,12.00,12.30pm and 1.00pm, Buses will then make the return journey post match.

Car Parking

The Following Car Parks are available for Patrons Free of Charge:

· North Street Car Park (for Patrons coming from Belfast/Armagh Road Areas) 10 minutes’ walk to the Ground.

· Gateway Car Park Kilmorey Street.

· River Street Car Park

· Buttercrane Shopping Centre (Produce your Match Programme/Match Ticket and you can avail of Free Parking)

· The Quays Shopping Centre (Produce your Match Programme/Match Ticket and you can avail of Free Parking)

· The Albert Basin Car Park (Suitable for Traffic coming from the Dublin Road Direction) Supervised Car Parking

· St Mary’s High School Chapel Street Newry

· C.A.R.S Garage Site on Old Warrenpoint Road.

· Greenbank Industrial Estate.

Parking Restrictions

The following Parking Restrictions are in place:

  • No Parking on the Hard Shoulder of the Dual Carriageway.
  • No Parking on Kilmorey Street/ Warrenpoint Road
  • No Parking on Chapel Hill
  • Restricted Parking on Chapel Street.

Points for Consideration

  • Mass in St Mary’s Chapel at 10.30am on Sunday.
  • There will be an Ordination taking place in Newry Cathedral on Sunday Afternoon at 3.00pm
