Junior Hurling Final Preview

Junior Hurling Championship Final
Derrynoose v Killeavy
Sunday 10 September 2017 at 5pm
Athletic Grounds
Referee: Michael Loftus

The Junior Hurling final should prove to be intriguing with an up-and-coming Killeavy side taking on an experienced Derrynoose set-up. With last year’s champions Sean Treacey’s moving up to senior level, Derrynoose received a bye into the final, while Killeavy overcame Craobh Rua 2-17 to 2-9 .

Killeavy, who last won the title in 2014, are in the final for the second year in a row and will be hoping for a repeat of last year’s semi-final victory over Saturday’s opponents.

Derrynoose have plenty of talent within their own ranks and will look to the likes of Paddy Kelly, Peter McKerney, Stephen Keenan and David McCreesh to drive them on to an Armagh Junior championship.

Killeavy will look towards county senior players, Mattie McEvoy, Niall Strain, Glen McKeown and County U-21 players David Grant and Barra Mc Ateer.

Best wishes to both clubs.
