On Thursday 10th November the county Health and Wellbeing committee will host a presentation night in the Ceannáras, Athletic Grounds, Armagh starting at 7.00pm.
The presentation will focus on Mental Health and Suicide Awareness.
The presentation will be given by Nuala Quinn, who is part of the Wellbeing Promotion Team attached to St. Lukes Hospital, Armagh. Other speakers on the night will include Moya Kerins, who has experienced bereavement by suicide and James McBennett from the Niamh Louise Foundation.
It is hoped that ALL clubs will be represented by as many persons as possible including the club Health and Wellbeing officer.
Speaking about the event, Armagh GAA chairperson Paul McArdle said:
“I commend our Health & Wellbeing Committee on hosting a presentation on Mental Health and Suicide Awareness on 10th November. I would encourage every club in Armagh to attend this event to help raise awareness on these important issues.”
