Armagh celebrate provincial success at Scór na nÓg

Tá Ard Mhacha ag ceiliúradh arís i ndiaidh do dhá chlub as an chontae Craobh Uladh a bhaint i Scór na nÓg ag an deireadh seachtaine. Bhain Béal Átha an Airgid an chraobh don rince céilí os comhair scaifte corraithe baile a bhí i láthair ag CLG Chláirsigh Bhéal Átha an Airgid. Bhí cúis bhreis cheiliúrtha ag lucht Ard Mhacha nuair a d’fhógair bean an tí, Áine Uí Choinn ón Mhullach Bán gurb iad Naomh Pádraig, Coilleach Eanach a bhain craobh an chúige dá léiriú. Chomh maith le rinceoirí Bhéal Átha an Airgid agus aisteoirí Choilleach Eanach, beidh foireann thráth ceisteanna Bhéal Átha an Airgid ag freastal ar Chraobh na hÉireann a bheas i gCill Áirne Dé Sathairn 30 Eanáir. Déanann muid comhghairdeas leis na daoine óga uilig ó Bhéal Átha an Airgid agus ó Choilleach Eanach agus guíonn muid gach rath orthu i gCraobh na hÉireann.

Armagh’s proud record in Scór na nÓg was maintained on Saturday evening with two Ulster titles being won by Silverbridge and St Patrick’s, Cullyhanna. Silverbridge claimed the title in céilí dancing in front of a rapturous home support as the south Armagh club hosted the provincial decider. The Armagh support had further cause to celebrate when bean an tí, Áine Uí Choinn from the Mullaghbane club, announced that the county’s other act Cullyhanna had claimed the Ulster title for their fantastic léiriú act, Dancing Queen. Silverbridge dancers and the léiriú team from St Patrick’s will be joined on All-Ireland final day in Killarney on Saturday 30th January by the Silverbridge table quiz team, who won last week’s Armagh Scór na nÓg quiz. We congratulate all three acts and the two clubs and wish the young people involved the very best of luck in the All-Ireland final. Ádh mór oraibh agus Ard Mhacha abú.
