Ulster Success for Armagh Clubs

Congratulations to Moya Strain from Mullaghbane and the Cullyhanna léirú team who won Ulster titles in Scór na nÓg on Saturday evening. The large contingent of Armagh support had plenty to cheer about at the Ulster final in Three Mile House, with Moya Strain performing a beautiful rendition of The Hills of South Armagh and the young dramatists from St Patrick’s performing their emotive act On a Single Day. Hard luck to the céilí team from Whitecross, the instrumental group from Mullaghbane and the ballad group from Carrickcruppen who can’t have been too far off a provincial title and did the county proud. The All-Ireland final of Scór na nÓg takes place in the Citywest, Dublin on Saturday 14 February and we wish Mullaghbane, St Patrick’s and county champion quiz team, Silverbridge the very best of luck.

Comhghairdeas le Moya Ní Straidhn ón Mhullach Bhán agus le gasúir agus cailíní Choillrach Eanach sa léiriú a bhain craobh Uladh i Scór na nÓg oíche Shathairn. Bhí cúis cheiliúrtha ag an scaifte mhór as Ard Mhacha ag Craobh na Cúige a bhí ar siúl i dTeach na dTrí Mhíle, nuair a cheoil Moya leagan galánta de The Hills of South Armagh agus nuair a chuaigh aisteoirí Naomh Pádraig chun ardáin lena dráma gairid On a Single Day. Comhbhrón le rinceoirí Chorr Leacht, le grúpa ceoil an Mhullaifh Bháin agus le grúpa bailéad Charraig Chrupáin a thug sártaispeántais ar an oíche. Caithfidh nach raibh siad i bhfad ó chraobh chúige a bhaint agus bhí siad ina n-ábhar bróid ag muintir Ard Mhacha. Beidh Craobh na hÉireann de Scór na nÓg ar siúl sa Citywest i mBaile Átha Cliath Dé Sathairn 14 Feabhra agus guíonn muid gach rath ar an Mhullach Bhán, ar Naomh Pádraig agus ar bhuaiteoirí thráth ceisteanna Ard Mhacha, Béal Átha an Airgid.
