Gavin McParland struck 2-4 as Armagh maintained their push for a place in the semi-finals of the McKenna Cup with a hard-fought win over St Mary’s in front of over 900 hardy supporters at the Athletic Grounds.
St Mary’s led by 0-11 to 1-4 at the break, McParland having hit the back of the net for the Orchard County from the penalty spot, but Kieran McGeeney’s charges powered ahead in the second half and a second goal from McParland sealed victory.
