Armagh ease to victory over Wexford

Armagh made it two wins from two Allianz Football League Division Three games with victory over Wexford today.
Wexford scored the opening four points but Armagh hit back with five Stefan Campbell points and an Ethan Rafferty goal just before the break.
Armagh moved seven clear but Kevin O’Grady netted for the hosts at Wexford Park after 45 minutes.
Rafferty slotted over twice before Ciaron O’Hanlon fired into the net to seal a comfortable win.
Armagh, who beat Tipperary in their opener , recovered from a poor start which saw Adrian Flynn (2), O’Grady and Ben Brosnan fire over for Wexford.
The fightback was built on Stefan Campbell frees with the forward sending five over to edge the Orchard men in front.
Both sides lost a player to black cards in the first half, with Wexford’s Paddy Byrne going off before Sean Connell.
Rafferty rattled in his goal to give Armagh a four-point advantage going into the second half.
Armagh pulled clear on the restart with Rafferty among the scorers as he racked up a 1-4 tally for the game.
O’Grady pointed before firing into the Armagh net, although he soon became the third player to be shown a black card.
There was now just three points between the sides but Armagh regained control to chalk up a win which leaves them second behind Fermanagh on points difference.
Orchard forward Jamie Clarke pulled out with a groin injury before the game but he is expected to be fit for the league resumption in three weeks.
