Armagh Gaels Honoured

Congratulations to Armagh man Hugh Duggan who has been inducted into the San Francisco GAA Hall of Fame in recognition of his service as a coach, referee and administrator. Hugh was also a founding member of the Ulster club in San Francisco and has been heavily involved in the Michael Cusacks club. He has been involved in the promotion of Gaelic football, hurling and Ladies’ Football. Hugh received his Hall of Fame Award from Uachtarán CLG, Liam Ó Néill.

Pat McGeough has been the main lynch pin for the Simply Fruit Orchard Academy at U14 in South Armagh this last 15 years. He has managed, coached and delivered on all fronts. Indeed his players at this level get to see what it means to be part of the Academy; the first step in playing for Armagh. From the first day to now, Pat is held in high esteem by every player who passes through the U14 Simply Fruit Academy. He has also officiated at two All Ireland Finals as an umpire. Pat is what is called a true GAA Volunteer and was recently honoured with a Civic Award from Newry and Mourne Council.
