Armagh TV – MacNamee Award Winners

Linwoods Armagh TV recently received a prestigious GAA MacNamee Award for 2016 Best New Digital Initiative and they were presented their awards by Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael, Aogán Ó Fearghail, at a function in Croke Park on Friday February 17th.

The MacNamee Awards, named after the late Pádraig MacNamee, former President of the GAA, are presented annually in recognition of outstanding contributions made by individuals and Association units in the area of media and communications.

Linwoods Armagh TV is an outstanding online streaming service that helps showcase the GAA activities in County Armagh to a global community.  One of the specific highlights in 2016 was the broadcasting live of the Dr McKenna Cup Final between Tyrone and Derry with record number of subscribers.  The breadth of their coverage from this team of unbelievably dedicated volunteers has received widespread acclaim and this award is due recognition.
