Hundreds of Armagh fans are gearing up for one of the biggest social events of the year, when the county hosts a Night at the Dogs on Saturday night. The event, which will take place in the Dundalk Stadium, is Armagh GAA’s pinnacle fundraising event of the year and has already garnered huge interest throughout the county.
With a number of exciting games to look forward to in the next fortnight, namely a Croke Park appearance by the Armagh hurlers on Saturday in the Nicky Rackard Cup Final and an Ulster Championship clash with Donegal in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday 14 May, supporters will have the opportunity to mix with their GAA heroes, who are giving their full backing to the Night at the Dogs. Speaking about the event, senior footballer Jamie Clarke was looking forward to “a brilliant night for Armagh GAA”, adding that “All teams would appreciate as much support as possible on Saturday night.”
Tickets for the event are still available at just £20 each and can be bought from the county office, on www.armaghgaa.net or from any of the players or county committees. All proceeds will go towards the development of the GAA in Armagh, including the facilities for county football and hurling teams, as well as the Orchard Academies which help to develop underage players to ensure the outlook for the GAA in Armagh remains very positive. If you would like to contribute to the future development of the GAA in Armagh, you can play your part by buying a ticket for the Night at the Dogs and go along to the Dundalk stadium on Saturday 6 June for a great night’s entertainment.
