Vincent Savage RIP

Armagh GAA is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Vincent Savage from the Seán South club in Clady. Vincie was the Clady delegate on the Armagh County Board for many years and also served as Armagh representative on the Ulster Council. Vincie was well-known across Armagh and indeed throughout Ireland as he spent many years as steward for Armagh, for Ulster and indeed for Croke Park. CLG Ard Mhacha extends deepest sympathies to Vincie’s son Mickey, Chairperson of Armagh CCC, and the entire Savage family and Clady community at this sad time.

Ba le croí trom a d’fhoghlaim CLG Ard Mhacha inniu fá bhás Uinseann Sabhaois ó CLG Chláidigh. Ba thoscaire é Vincent dá chlub ar Bhord Contae Ard Mhacha le blianta fada agus d’fheidhmigh sé mar ionadaí Ard Mhacha ar Chomhairle Uladh. Bhí aithne ag neart daoine sa CLG ar Vincie, chan amháin in Ard Mhacha ach ó achan chuid den tír,mar gheall ar an seal fada a chaith sé mar mhaor in Ard Mhacha, in Uladh agus i bPáirc an Chrócaigh. Cuireann muid ár gcomhbhrón in iúl dá mhac Mickey, Cathaoirleach CCC Ard Mhacha, do chlann Sabhaois agus do phobal Chláidigh ar a mbris ag an am brónach seo.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
