County hurlers enter Ulster Championship

Armagh minor and senior hurlers enter the Ulster championship this weekend. The minors will play Donegal in the Ulster quarter-final on Saturday evening at 7pm in Middletown. The seniors will play Down for the third time this year. The Ulster semi-final tie will be played in the Athletic Grounds at 7pm as part of a double header, which also includes the other Ulster semi-final between Antrim and Derry. While Down got the better of Armagh in the opening round of the league, the Orchard hurlers turned over their neighbours in the league final earlier this year. While Down exited the Christy Ring Cup at the semi-final stage and Armagh lost out to Mayo in the final, the Ulster championship offers both sides an opportunity to finish on a positive note and no doubt Down will be heading into the game with revenge for the league final defeat on their minds.
