Cén uair a d’imir tú iomáint den chéad uair? Sa chúlghairdín agus ar Ardscoil an Chéide ach níor thosaigh mé leis an chlub go dtí an fhoireann faoi 14.
When and where did you first play hurling? Would have done a bit around the back garden when I was a child and chanced my arm with school teams when I was in Keady High School. However, I started to play properly for a team at U-14 so you could say I was a bit of a late starter.

An chomhairle is fearr a fuair tú: Treanáil agus imir amhail gurb é an uair dheireanach é. Ná bíodh eagla ort meancóg a dhéanamh.
Best career advice you were given: Attack every training and match as if it’s your last! Never be afraid to make a mistake.

An scil is tábhachtaí san iomáint: Ag fáil an tsliotair go gasta (an chéadteagmháil, ag breith ar an tsliotar)
The most important skill in hurling: How quickly you can manage to get the ball into your possession (i.e. first touch, catching ability)

Cad é a d’athrófá fán chluiche? Níos mó cluichí a chur ar fáil agus níos lú treanála d’achan aoisghrúpa. Tá an iomáint foirfe mar atá!
What would you like to change about the game? The only thing I would change in relation to GAA is to ensure that there are more games and less training for all age groups. The game of hurling is pretty much great as it is!

Spórt is fearr taobh amuigh den iomáint: Is maith liom an cruicéad.
Favourite sport other than hurling: I’m a huge fan of Cricket especially the One Day Game and T20

Nuair a bhí mé óg, bhí mé ag iarraidh bheith… Dála achan ghasúr eile, peileadóir gairmiúil.
When I was a child I wanted to be… The same as most boys when they were children, a professional footballer. I use to dream about playing on the same team as Ryan Giggs.

Cuimhne is fearr ar an pháirc imeartha: 19 Meán Fómhair 2013 agus mé i mo chaptaen ar fhoireann bhuacach Chú Chulainn a bhain Craobh Ard Mhacha
Best hurling memory as a player: Thursday 19th September when I captained Cuchulainns to the Armagh Senior Championship after a gap of 24 years

Cuimhne is fearr nuair nach raibh tú ag imirt: Cluiche ceannais Iomána na hÉireann anuraidh idir Cill Chainnigh agus Tiobraid Árann.
Best hurling memory outside of playing: Being at the All-Ireland Hurling final last year between Kilkenny and Tipperary which ended in a draw – the atmosphere and feeling around Croke Park was unreal

Creid nó ná creid ach tá mé maith ag… ceol sa chithfholcadh
You may not know it, but I’m good at… Love singing but only in the shower

An t-imreoir is fearr atá feicthe agat? Tomás Breathnach agus Páidí Ó Meachair
Who is the greatest player you have seen? Greatest hurler that I’ve ever watched has to be Tommy Walsh; from current players it has to be Paudie Maher

Cé a cheannófá ar mhargadh na n-aistrithe? Thabharfainn cúl báire an chlub Páidí Ó hÉanaí ar ais ón Astráil agus chuirfinn fáilte roimh Risteard Ó hÓgáin (imreoir ardéirime) agus Páidí Ó Meachair (ceannaire)
If there was a ‘transfer market’ who would you buy? For Cuchulainns I’d bring back our goalkeeper Paddy Heaney who is currently living it up in Australia for the year. Other players who would be most welcome into club or county team would be Richie Hogan (genius on the pitch) and Paudie Maher (leader)

Faoi láthair, tá mé ag éisteacht le: Ag súil go mór le ceolchoirm Ed Sheeran sa tsamhradh agus Imagine Dragons
Currently listening to: Ed Sheeran (looking forward to his concert in the summer) and Imagine Dragons

An t-aireagán is fearr riamh… Sky Plus – ní fheicfinn teilifís ar bith gan é
The best invention ever… Sky Plus – only way I get to watch any TV programmes

Duine ar mhaith leat bualadh leo: Beirt ó shaol an spóirt – Richie McCaw captaen rugbaí Nua Shéalainn agus Kevin Pieterson a imríonn cruicéad le Sasana.
Person you would most like to meet: Two sports people after reading their books – New Zealand rugby captain Richie McCaw and English cricketer Kevin Pieterson.

Dá mbéifeá gafa ar oileán mara, cad é an rud is mó a bheadh uait? Neart pancóg agus bananaí iógairt, camán is sliotar agus an bheirt is fearr liom ar domhain.
Marooned on a desert island what could you not be without? A supply of pancakes and yoghurt coated bananas and my hurl and a ball and my two favourite people in the world

I gceann deich mbliana, tá súil agam… Socraithe le mo chlann leis an phríomhoideacht romham agus ag cuidiú leis an CLG
In ten years’ time I hope to be…
Settled down with my own family on the way to becoming a principal and giving myself back to the GAA in any way possible
