Cén uair a d’imir tú iomáint den chéad uair? Sa bhaile le mo dheartháir agus mé thart ar 6 nó 7 bliana d’aois
When and where did you first play hurling? The earliest I can remember playing hurling was at my home with my brother. I was probably about 6 or 7 years old.
An chomhairle is fearr a fuair tú: Fear ó mo chlub féin a dúirt go bhfuil an iomáint díreach mar atá an galf; ní úsáideann tú maide mór ar an phlásóg.
Best career advice you were given: Best career advice would have come from a man within my own club. He said “hurling’s like golf; you don’t use a driver when you’re on the green”.
An scil is tábhachtaí san iomáint: Tá na scileanna uilig chomh tábhachtach céanna ach b’fhéigir ag greamú an tsliotair.
The most important skill in hurling: I suppose all of the skills are as important as each other but if I had to pick one id have to say catching.
Cad é a d’athrófá fán chluiche? Chan mórán. Ní thig linn gearán a dhéanamh fá chaighdeán na hiomána le blianta beaga anuas.
What would you like to change about the game? There’s not much really that I’d like to change about the game itself. I think over this last few years not many could complain about the standard of hurling we have been lucky enough to have seen.
Spórt is fearr taobh amuigh den iomáint: An pheil is dócha ach is maith liom bheith ag imirt sacair nuair a bhíonn an deis agam fosta.
Favourite sport other than hurling: favourite sport other than hurling would probably be football. I also like to play a bit of soccer when I get the chance.
Nuair a bhí mé óg, bhí mé ag iarraidh bheith i mo… DJ Ó Ciara
When I was a child I wanted to be… While growing up I always wanted to be DJ Carey
Cuimhne is fearr ar an pháirc imeartha: Ag imirt le mo chlub i gCraobh Idirmheánach na hÉireann i bPáirc an Chrócaigh.
Best hurling memory as a player: Probably playing for my club in the All-Ireland Intermediate final in Croke Park.
Cuimhne is fearr nuair nach raibh tú ag imirt: Bhí roinnt turas againn anseo is ansiúd ach an cuimhne is fearr ná turas club go Gaillimh nuair a bhí mé 13 bliain do scoil iomána Sheosaimh Uí Chuana.
Best hurling memory outside of playing: Am lucky enough to have some great memorys like Trips away here and there but my favourite memory would probably be of going to Galway when I was 13 for the Joe Cooney school of hurling with my club team. We still talk about them trips till this day.
Creid nó ná creid ach tá mé maith ag… Quidditch
You may not know it, but I’m good at… Quidditch
An t-imreoir is fearr atá feicthe agat? Deacair a rá ach idir DJ Ó Ciara nó Seosamh Ó Cainin. Thiocfadh le ceachtar acu foireann a scriosadh iad féin.
Greatest player you have seen? It’s hard to pick. But it would probably be between DJ Carey or Joe Canning. Both on their day would destroy any team.
Cé a cheannófá ar mhargadh na n-aistrithe? Seosamh Ó Ciara
If there was a ‘transfer market’ who would you buy? Would have to be Joe Canning
Ag éisteacht le: Rudaí éagsúla. Giota Jamie T nó George Ezra.
Currently listening to: Variety of stuff. Probably a bit of Jamie T or George Ezra. Also have to say my friend Paddy McBride does a spot of DJing at our local and is hard to beat.
An t-aireagán is fearr riamh… An niteoir cumhachta Honda B275HA 160cc!
The best invention ever… Probably the Honda B275HA 160cc power washer. They’re not cheap though.
Duine ar mhaith leat bualadh leo: Sylvester Stallone. Dochreidte gur sháraigh sé Clubber Lang i Rocky 3 i ndiaidh don treanálaí bás a fháil.
Person you would most like to meet: Would have to be Sylvester Stallone. How he beat Clubber Lang in Rocky 3 after the Death of his Trainer was just incredible.
Gafa ar oileán mara, an rud is mó a bheadh uait? Mo ghuthán. Ach muna bhfuil clúdach fán bhaile is dócha nach mbeadh faic amuigh ansin.
Marooned on a desert island what could you not be without? Probably my phone. But suppose if I can’t get network round home id hardly get it out there.
I gceann deich mbliana, tá súil agam… Ag amharc ar iománaithe Ard Mhacha ag imirt ag leibhéal níos airde.
In ten years’ time I hope to be… Watching Armagh Hurlers playing at a higher level than we are now.
