Last year’s football and hurling winning teams officially launched the Armagh GAA Club Championship 2022 sponsored by Cormac Leonard Commercials Ltd at the Athletic Grounds, on Monday 22 August.
Over the next nine weeks football and hurling teams will compete in their respective competitions for the 2022 championship.
Welcoming the continued sponsorship from Cormac Leonard Commercials Ltd, Chairperson Michael Savage said,
“I want to sincerely thank Cormac Leonard, now in their fifth year of sponsorship, for their continued support of our flagship club competitions.
“This year as we look forward to normal business resuming, post-covid for our club championship, but we can’t ignore the current financial climate with the increasing cost of living and the pressure this puts on our members and families attending games.
“With this in mind club representatives at the recent County Board meeting agreed a new pricing structure and significantly reduced admission prices, while introducing a new juvenile season ticket for £5.
“I want to wish all our club football and hurling teams well, to all our match officials and volunteers, as always, a lot of hard work goes into the preparation of our eagerly awaited season and we are all looking forward to the next nine weeks of club action, he added.
“Finally, one of the key highlights at the end of our championship season is our celebration event – Armagh Club All Star Awards, this year will take place on Thursday 1st December at the Canal Court Hotel, Newry – a fantastic event recognising the tremendous talent across our county. We look forward to the normal return of this celebration event.”
